①Where Has the Great Mother’s

The Queen Mother of the West is the head of the female immortals of Chinese mythology. This project investigates her multi-layered changes and displacements throughout history, and attempts to make the audience aware of the narratives recorded by the male-dominated records, quietly transferring female power and evolving into an instrument of ideological domination. Eventually through a digital performance art, the artist tries to sit down in a chairless situation, her body spasms unconsciously in mid-air until she falls down exhausted. This open-source art practice attempts to deterritorialise the construction of the great mother, presenting an exciting and subversive aesthetic of glitch feminism.
西王母是中国神话的女仙之首。本项目调研了她在历史上的多层次变迁与位移，并试图让观众意识到由男性主导记录的叙述，悄然转移着女性权力，并演化为意识形态统治工具。最终通过一场数字行为艺术，艺术家在无椅的情境下尝试坐下，身体在半空中无意识地痉挛，直到筋疲力尽地坠落。这次开源的艺术实践尝试去领土化大母神的建构，呈现出令人激动又颠覆的故障女权主义。
